Mark Bijasa is a Los Angeles-based Creative Director whose multidisciplinary work spans graphic design, photography, videography, music production, fashion styling, and brand strategy. Rooted in Southern California’s hip-hop culture, Mark began his creative path through graffiti, dance, and DJing before serving in the U.S. Air Force, where global travel reshaped his eye for storytelling and design.
After formal design training and early agency experience, Mark founded the art project/music label Strictly Cassette and became a key figure in the modern revival of cassette culture — a movement that earned him recognition in Time Magazine for the 50th anniversary of the compact cassette.
Mark’s work in the music world includes visual identities and packaging for DJ Shadow, Taz Arnold, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Nas, Key Kool & Rhettmatic, The Koreatown Oddity, Stones Throw Records, Mass Appeal Records, Fat Beats, and others whose artistry shaped underground and mainstream culture.
Beyond music, Mark has made a major mark in the food and hospitality space, serving as the Chief Brand Officer of Fat Sal’s Deli, where he helped evolve the brand through campaign strategy, packaging systems, merch design, celebrity collaborations, and culturally driven limited-edition drops. His creative influence extends into restaurant branding, experiential design, and concept development across Los Angeles’ culinary scene.
Whether crafting iconic visuals, building brands from the ground up, or designing moments that resonate across culture, Mark’s work blends heritage, innovation, and emotional storytelling — all driven by a belief that creativity is both a responsibility and a lifelong mission.
